- Sustainable assets under management sourced to mutual funds and ETFs in the US reached $338.0 billion in assets under management at the end of July 2023. Mutual funds account for $236.5 billion, or 70% of sustainable fund assets at the end of July 2023. ETFs now control $101.6 billion in net assets.
- The top 10 managers of mutual fund assets handle $163.3 billion, or 69% of the segment’s assets. The ETF segment, on the other hand, is more concentrated, with the top 10 firms managing $93.2 billion, or 92% of assets under management.
- 163 separate firms offer mutual funds and/or ETFs. Of these, 122 firms offer mutual funds while 71 firms offer ETFs.
- Of the top 10 mutual fund managers, five firms also offer ETFs. The exceptions for now are: Parnassus, Impax Asset Management, Brown Advisory, Amundi US and Eventide.
